2026年臺北世界室內拔河錦標賽是一場具備里程碑意義的體育盛會，標誌著臺灣正式在國際拔河壇取得主辦旗艦賽事的領先地位。
臺灣拔河代表隊在國際賽場上戰績卓越，女子隊曾創下世運會六連霸及世錦賽三連霸的史詩成就，男子隊和混合隊也多次奪得金牌成績。
正是憑藉這份深厚的競技實力與完善的行政規劃，臺灣在競爭激烈的申辦過程中脫穎而出，成功取得本次世界錦標賽的主辦權。
賽事將在臺北地標小巨蛋舉行，預計吸引全球約15個國家、超過100支隊伍與俱樂部參賽。
競賽項目涵蓋男子、女子及男女混合等多個重量級別，從展現細膩技巧的女子組到爆發力量的男子組，皆能讓現場觀眾近距離感受拔河運動特有的韌性與團隊默契。
為了在主場守護榮耀，我國代表隊近年持續嚴格集訓，並在運動部與臺北市政府的全力支援下，結合主場應援熱潮，誓言將金牌留在臺灣。

The 2026 Taipei World Indoor Tug of War Championships will grandly debut at the Taipei Arena from March 12 to 15.
Following years of dedicated cultivation, Taiwan has successfully won the bid to host this top-tier international event, marking the first time Taiwan holds the world’s premier indoor tug of war competition.
The event will bring together over 1,000 elite athletes from more than 15 countries to compete, showcasing Taiwan's leading position in the world of tug of war and its exceptional capacity for hosting major international sports.

The 2026 Taipei World Indoor Tug of War Championships is a milestone event, signaling Taiwan’s formal ascent to a leading position in hosting flagship tournaments within the international tug of war community. With an extraordinary track record, including the women’s team’s six consecutive World Games titles and three consecutive World Championship victories, alongside the men’s team’s historic first gold in recent years, Taiwan has proven its prowess on the global stage. It is this profound competitive strength and meticulous administrative planning that allowed Taiwan to stand out in a highly competitive bidding process and successfully secure the hosting rights for this World Championship.
Held at the iconic Taipei Arena, the championships are expected to attract over 100 teams and clubs from approximately 15 countries. The competition features various weight classes across men’s, women’s, and mixed categories. From the refined techniques of the women’s teams to the explosive power of the men’s, spectators will experience the unique resilience and team synergy of tug of war up close. To defend the glory on home soil, our national teams have undergone rigorous training since early 2026. With full support from the Ministry of Sports and the Taipei City Government, they are ready to harness the energy of the home crowd and vow to keep the gold medals in Taiwan. This event is not only a contest of strength and will but also a prime opportunity to demonstrate Taiwan's sports diplomacy, promote tug of war culture, and boost urban tourism.
